LIBRARY: The community has requested a library and books as there is no local access to book shops or a library. Currently school children have very few books available. They have donated land and are willing to donate building materials.

CROP PRODUCTION: The local community in Nyamuswa has requested Project Malaika's assistance to increase crop production of the main staples of thier diet: corn(maize), and cassava. Due to a draught that has lasted for the past several years, improving stores of corn and cassava could help prevent malnutrition and associated diseases. To improve the local economic situation, they have also requested assistance with improving local cotton production.

LIVESTOCK DEVELOPMENT: To improve both food security and the local economy, the local community has asked Project Malaika for help with improving the care of cows, goats, and chickens, and also techinical assistance to improve milk production of local cows.
