Zinduka Development Initiatives Forum
Zinduka is a locally run non profit charitable organization which has been working with in Nyamuswa for over 6 years, has helped 140 local needy children go to school, and has coordinated visits by medical professionals and teachers to work in their local community. The board consists entirely of individuals from Nyamuswa and the surrounding villages and they have good working relationships with local and district governments. ZDIF is integral to all the program planning of Malaika Project, as each project is a direct collaboration.

Village Council
The local Village Council is headed by the chairman of the village and the councilmen, which are men and women elected locally. They have welcomed volunteers from Malaika Project and are instrumental in voicing the needs of the community and coordinating community participation in Malaika Project programs.



Nyamuswa Drama Group
A group of 12 youth leaders from Nyamuswa who do performance education to educate remote communities about HIV and malaria. Malaika Project works with Nyamuswa Drama group on community health research and incorporating health messages into their plays.  Malaika Project has given bicycles, t-shirts, and drums to the group so they can perform for rural communities.  They are now requesting an audio set  with microphones and speakers to broadcast their performances.


Service Health and Development for People Living Positively With HIV/AIDS
SHDEPHA is an organization of 92 HIV+ people living in Bunda District who are committed to improving the lives of HIV positive people in Tanzania through advocacy, community educatiokn and outreach, bringing people to get tested, providing home care and food for AIDS victims, and helping the children of people living with AIDS get an education.


Nyamuswa Academy
Nyamuswa Academy is an English Language nursery school started one year ago by Dominick and Mary, two very dedicated young Kenyan teachers. They are building a primary school one grade at a time to bring English education to the Nyamuswa community.
International Federation of Medical Students Association

Rotary International
Rotaract at University of Massachusetts Medical School in conjunction with Westborough Rotary Club is doing fundraising for Project Malaika. We are also working with Rotary International to establish a new rotary group in Nyamusma. Website: www.rotary.org


Project Zawadi
An American based non profit organization working in Nyamuswa and other parts of Tanzania to help orphans go to school is also collaborating with Project Malaika to fundraise and improve the quality of life in Nyamuswa.

Village Concept Projects
