There are many ways to be involved in Project Malaika!

Nyamuswa is located in an area that receives little attention from international aid agencies. Malaika Project strives to fill this gap in aid. Our ability to help this community is rooted in volunteer efforts from people like you, through hands-on volunteering, fundraising, and donations. There are many ways to be involved in Project Malaika.

>> Please join us in our efforts by volunteering in any way that you can <<

Volunteer in Tanzania
You can play a pivotal role in enriching the local community of Nyamuswa by volunteering in Tanzania. Volunteers enjoy going to Tanzania because they experience the spirit and friendliness of the small community and the personal growth that comes from working hand-in-hand with a community of a different culture towards reaching their goals. Malaika Project has an ongoing volunteer program which includes teaching English, improving health education, doing community research, developing a lab and dispensary, building projects, and an agricultural demonstration project. There is never a shortage of interesting projects that you can work on.

Project Malaika welcomes volunteers from all disciplines. We are always looking to expand our volunteer programs. You can volunteer for any length of time from 2 weeks to 2 years.
If you have an interest in volunteering, please contact the Project Coordinator at jenniemalaika@yahoo.com or

Adopt the Nyamuswa village
You can volunteer from home through the adopt a village program. Through this program you bring together resources from your community to benefit the people of Nyamuswa, thus allowing you to make a huge impact in your spare time. You can support the cause by coordinating efforts for fundraising, recruitment of volunteers, and collection drives of books, medical equipment, and eyeglasses. You can reach out to other groups or local organizations for their support and assistance. And you can organize a group to come volunteer in Nyamuswa.

If you would like to be involved or have a group that would be interested in fundraising, collecting supplies, or bringing volunteers to work with Project Malaika, please join the adopt a village listserve at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/adoptavillagetz and send a message introducing yourself. There you will find resources such as a power point presentation about the project and fundraising ideas and like-minded individuals with whom to collaborate and share ideas.
